Abstract
The article deals with the analysis and research of the concepts “competence”, “competency”, “professional competence”. The purpose of the paper is to analyze these concepts and to reveal the peculiarities of their formation among future specialists in the field of computer technology. On the basis of the analysis, the correlation between the concepts “competence” and “competensy” is established: competensy is a requirement for the training of a specialist, knowledge and experience in a particular field; in turn, competence is the possession of a future specialist competence that manifests itself in an effective professional activity and contains personal attitude of a specialist. Hence, the professional competence is a complex characteristic of a specialist in a particular field that manifests itself in professional activities and includes knowledge, skills, abilities, experience, motivation and high personal qualities. The basic components of professional competence of future specialists of professional education in the field of computer technologies are determined, namely: special competence, social competence, individual competence, pedagogical and communicative competence.
