Abstract
Great Revolutions which their effectiveness was over of the Changing Political sovereignty are a source the transformation of the Educational Systems. Islamic Revolution of Iran as a Great Revolution has a different characters than other Great Revolutions due to its historical context. Changes in the educational system strongly depends on characters of Revolutions influenced on them. This issue makes clear an importance of analyzing the Fundamental Components of Iran's Islamic Revolution as a capacity to transform the Educational System in Iran. In this article, three elements (Popularity, Islamism, and Denial of western political and cultural hegemony) are described than their capacity to transform the education system are considered. Therefore the popularity element of the Islamic revolution has implications for a change in the educational system, from a governmental organization to an organization led by the people, attention to informal educational organizations, promoting education-centered communities and planning for their development and strength. Attending to the Islamism element has implications for the development of theories of Islamic education and religious education in schools. And finally, the element of denial of western hegemony highlights the crucial importance of taking an appropriate position between modernity and tradition in the Islamic revolution’s horizon.
