Abstract

This study was conducted at Al-Qadisiyah University - College of Education, and aimed to analyze the content of the Literary Criticism book according to the skills of inferential thinking. The researcher adopted the descriptive analytical approach to achieve the goal of the current study, as the study community was concerned with the content of the literary criticism book for the sixth grade of middle school, the literary section for the academic year (2021-2022), after excluding the introduction, discussions, and indexes. The number of analyzed pages reached (57) pages after The researcher excluded the discussion at the end of the chapter, the index, and the introduction. Accordingly, the researcher worked on building a tool consisting of three main skills: the induction skill and it has four sub-skills, the deduction skill also has four sub-skills, and the deduction skill consists of four sub-skills, and after identifying the theoretical frameworks of the tool represented by determining the goal of building the tool (the questionnaire) to analyze The content, and defining the topic to be measured and specific to the study, which is a statement of the availability or lack of inferential thinking skills in the specific book, and then we formulate paragraphs (analysis tool) and this formulation is in the initial form, then conduct an exploratory analysis that ensures honesty and stability, and on that the formulation of paragraphs was conducted The analysis tool in its final form and then the final procedural application of the analysis after the data is unloaded and analyzed statistically, and by using the (Holstey) equation to find the values of the stability coefficients to
