Abstract

This article researches the legal bases of state support for organic agricultural production under the legislation of Ukraine and the EU. On the basis of the analysis of the EU legislation, the legal grounds and the procedure for granting state support to entities engaged in organic farming are identified. The analysis of the national agricultural legislation showed that the legislation of Ukraine on state support of agriculture did not take into account the importance and features of organic agricultural production. The conclusion is made about the necessity of adaptation of the legislation of Ukraine on state support of organic agricultural production to the EU legislation and ensuring guarantees of priority access of producers of organic agricultural products to the measures of state support.
