Abstract

Such technological restoration methods, which would reduce the number of processing steps concerning the formation of a working surface with specified service properties, are perspective for the restoration of friction pair parts working capacity. The most promising is complex processing, which will allow obtaining of the surface layer of tribotechnical compound parts with specified physical and mechanical properties. The main objective of the methods of friction surfaces modification is to increase the quality parameters of the surface layer. The application experience of different ways and methods to improve the quality of tribotechnical compound surface layers is analyzed in the article. It has been determined that each of them has its advantages and disadvantages. It has been found that a complex method which would include the known processing methods, combining their advantages, and in many cases excelling them, can be used to improve the quality parameters of tribotechnical compound surface layer.
