Abstract

Background During operation wells are watered gradually, in the extracted oil the amount of produced water can reach about 95 %. The composition of the reservoir waters is diverse, depends on the nature of the exploited reservoir, the physico-chemical properties of oil and gas, and is an important information on the effect of reservoir fluids on the production of oil products. Aims and Objectives Determination of the corrosion characteristics of the formation water of the Zapadno-Sutorminsky oil field and the selection of the anticorrosive protection of oil gathering pipes. To achieve this goal, the following tasks were solved in the work: 1. Analysis of the chemical composition of the formation water of the investigated oil field; 2. Determination of the formation water corrosive activity by means of Langelier saturation index; 3. Selection of an effective inhibitor based on the study results. Methods Determination of the corrosiveness of water through the use of an extended Langelier diagram. Rezults It is established that the formation water of the Zapadno-Sutorminsky oil field contains calcium and magnesium hydrogen carbonates. The Langelier saturation index, established during the calculation, confirmed the formation water corrosive activity. On the basis of the data obtained, a selection of the inhibitor НPK-002 was made, which proved its effectiveness on Western Siberia oil filds, which have close characteristics of formation water.
