Abstract
The article examines predication units connected by derivation relations with the word ведать ( изведать, поведать, проведать, сведать, уведать ) in G. Kotoshikhin’s essay “About Russia in the Reign of Alexei Mikhailovich” in three lexical-semantic variants having semantic shades of meaning. These verbs belong to the derivational family with the root - вед -. The revealed predication units existed in the minds of the Russian linguistic worldview representatives in the Tsar Alexei Mikhailovich’s reign.
