Abstract
The article deals with the techniques of light-and-shade modeling revealed during the analysis of architecture with a pronounced aesthetic value of light and shadow in the composition of facades and volume. There are also considered the methods of creating different light-plastic effects at the pedestrian level and in scale of the whole building. During the work, examples of natural lighting usage as an aesthetic tool were studied, constructed objects were analyzed. As a result, architectural techniques of natural lighting usage for light-and-shade modeling of facades were structured into a complete classification.
