Abstract
Purpose: The purpose of this study is to verify the structural relationships among team identification, vitality, and psychological well-being in order to provide a way to keep mental health through viewing sport, one of the forms of spectating sport.<BR> Method: To achieve the purpose of this study, the survey was conducted on 301 fans watching the H team match and all of the questionnaires were used for actual analysis. Frequency analysis, confirmatory analysis, reliability analysis, correlation analysis, structural equation modeling and mediation analysis were carried out.<BR> Results: First, team identification had a positive effect on vitality .Second, vitality had a positive effect on psychological well-being. Third, team identification had a positive effect on psychological well-being. Fourth, vitality partially mediated the relationship between team identification and psychological well-being.<BR> Conclusion: These results suggest that supporting a particular team through viewing plays an important role for a mentally healthy and energetic life. Additionally, since it has the advantage that viewing sport can be accessed even in a limited situation, it is considered to be applicable in a variety of environments.
