Abstract

The study assessed the impact on resident perception for tourism development, place attachment and support for tourism development. For this data were collected from 112 citizens of Inje-gun. Result showed that it was classified into two categories ‘positive perspective’ and ‘negative perspective’, ‘positive perspective’ had statistically significant effects on place attachment including ‘social preference’. However, ‘negative perspective’ was not contribute place attachment. In particular, residents who perceived ‘dependency’ was impacts on support for tourism development. Finding from this study suggests that tourism developers should more consider corporate social responsibility for the community in their process of tourism development.
