Abstract

The health care system is a key area of society, the state and functioning of which determine the health, quality and life expectancy of the population. The modern health care system in Russia continues to transform in the direction of the development of market mechanisms for its functioning. At the same time, all the measures taken by the country’s leadership to develop health care did not allow the creation of a perfect and effective system for managing this area, which is due to a number of socio-economic and political factors. Reforms in the healthcare system carried out in recent decades are aimed at creating a qualitatively new approach to providing medical care to the population, which helps to increase the efficiency of government decisions made and implemented in this industry. The article characterizes the current healthcare management system in Russia, which has gone through several stages of reform, explores and summarizes the main trends in the further development of this industry, the regulatory framework for its functioning.
