Abstract
In modern conditions, when Russian society has again turned to the personality of the teacher and his social status, it is important to analyze the traditions of Soviet pedagogy, where the role of the teacher had a high social and moral level. To fulfill this research task, a discussion of S. Rostotsky’s feature film “Let’s Live till Monday” was held in the student audience. The main characters of the film are Soviet teachers from the time of the “Khrushchev thaw”. Each of them has its own advantages and disadvantages, but at the same time, they are a manifestation of the high moral level of the Soviet teacher, which the students reflected in their essays. Qualitative content analysis of written works allowed us to assess how much a modern student-teacher sees the ideal image of a teacher in the heroes of a movie.
