Abstract

One of the indicators reflecting the crisis of education is learning poverty; a term establishing a correlation between the limited knowledge of children and poverty alongside its fascinating interpretation. According to the data for 2022, the level of learning poverty in the RA stood at 27.2%, namely about one-third of children lack reading skills in our country. Therefore, the struggle against learning poverty in the Republic of Armenia must become a national and political priority in order to have an educated, developed, and mentally healthy generation. This paper aims to touch upon the problem of learning poverty, its manifestation in different countries, evaluation tools, and the analysis of its level in the Republic of Armenia.
