Abstract

The objective of this study was to confirm the effect of nitrogen oxide reduction, which is a representative precursor of Particulate Matter in paint containing TiO₂ (Titanic Oxide) photocatalyst. For photochemical reaction, A mock-up experiment using UV lamp was performed. TiO₂ photocatalytic paint was applied to plaster board, which is a typical indoor finishing material. The concentration of nitrogen oxide was confirmed by changing UV lamp ON/OFF and UV lamp luminance. As a result, it was confirmed that the concentration reduction of TiO₂ photocatalysts was changed based on the amount of light by reducing the concentration of nitrogen oxides by photochemical reaction. However, there was no proportional change in the concentration of nitrogen oxides as the amount of light increased.
