Abstract

The system for water purifiers requires a motor with a constant speed, high torque, low noise, and low power. AC motors have low starting torque, and DC motors have difficulty in replacing brushes, generate noise, and are difficult to maintain. This study uses a high-density energy magnet called a neodymium magnet to design and control an SPM brushless DC (BLDC) motor to control high torque. This paper proposes the control and design of BLDC motors using the weak field method.
