Abstract
지방자체단체들은 지역의 아이덴티티를 제고하고 지역민의 관심과 적극적인 참여유도를 위해 CIP를 도입하고 있다. 그러나 많은 지자체에서 의도한 목적을 달성하지 못하고 있다. 이에 본 연구에서는 동해안 관광도시들이 가지고 있는 각종 CI에 관한 캐릭터, 심벌, 슬로건 등을 비교하여 관광도시 이미지와의 적합성을 평가하고자 한다. Local governments have been actively introducing the CIP(City Identity Program), which identity their regional features and publicize the governments, to increase municipal identity and encourage the participation of residents since the self-governing system was enforced. However, some local governments didn't perform the intended purposes. Therefore this paper is to compare regional characters, symbols, slogans of the east-coast cities in Kanwon-do and to evaluate them as a tourism cities' image tools.
