Abstract

This paper is a study on the contents of augmented reality-based navigation function and advisor application using smart glass when climbing. The purpose of this paper is to make it safer and more convenient to climb by wearing smart glasses, to provide personalized climbing guidance through AI advisor, and to enjoy climbing fun through gaming elements. The first research method compares and analyzes the functions of the climbing application contents and investigates the elements necessary for climbing. Second, we define a process for application design and construct contents according to the type of climbing. Third, a prototype of an augmented reality climbing application is produced. This application is expected to make it easier to check the information needed for climbing, communicate with people climbing together, and experience various climbing experiences through location-based and goal-achieving fun factors. This paper is designed only in Korea. GPS test and user test are needed to provide more accurate information. It is necessary to develop smart glass for mountain climbing by improving the weight, safety and battery consumption of existing augmented reality glass.
