Abstract

In this study, a 7kW CVCF(Constant Voltage Constant Frequency) power converter for power generation special vehicles is proposed and the output characteristics are investigated. The proposed system is implemented with a generator that is connected to the PTO (Power Take Off) hydraulic system of the engine of a special vehicle, and a power converter consisting of a 7kW boost DC-DC converter and a single-phase DC-AC inverter that is robust against noise and resonance. The type and capacity of the generator was selected as an 8kW class 3-phase permanent magnetic synchronous generator (PMSG) in consideration of the capacity of the 7kW power converter. The three-phase PMSG generates the 240V/250Hz induced electromotive force, and this induced electromotive force is boosted to DC stabilized by a 3-phase diode rectifier and a boost DC-DC converter, and a single-phase PWM inverter outputs a 220V/60Hz commercial voltage. In order to confirm the effectiveness of power generation system of the proposed special vehicle, a prototype is manufactured and the output relationship between the PMSG
