Abstract

Modern information and communication technologies can significantly change all socio-economic relationships in society. It is under their influence that a new digital society is being formed, which will lead to the optimisation of the use of resources and, using Industry 5.0 technologies, will help to create "smart" cities and the necessary infrastructure to improve the quality of life of citizens. This article examines the problem of digital transformation of municipal self-government in Ukraine and offers solutions to its solution. It is noted that for a successful digital transformation it is necessary to ensure the availability of digital technologies and the involvement of the population in them. One of the possible solutions is the expansion of mobile access to the Internet using 4G technology. The article also notes that an important aspect of digital transformation is the changing relationship with business, which becomes an influential social actor implementing digital technologies. Based on the analysis, the key principles of Industry 5.0 are proposed, which will play an important role in the development and management of communities. The proposed principles are important because they will contribute to the creation of an effective and innovative system, capable of responding to modern demands and needs of society. They may vary according to the specific needs and context of each municipality. In order to achieve a successful digital transformation, it is recommended to use artificial intelligence to provide services to citizens and to ensure municipal control over cooperation with businesses. The article also draws attention to the concept of Industry 5.0 and the role of humans in interacting with machines. It emphasises that this concept is not yet widespread, but it is already possible to highlight tools such as the Internet of Things, artificial intelligence, blockchain, drones and virtual and augmented reality that can be used to manage communities in the context of Industry 5.0.
