Abstract

The article analyses the situation concerning the elections of the October 20, 2019 in Bolivia that caused the resignation of the President Evo Morales Ayma. The regional aspect of the Bolivian politics in general and the present electoral process in particular is highlighted as one of the key factors; the importance and role of the civic committees of Santa Cruz (CPSC) and Potosí (COMCIPO) is considered, as well as those of the police and the armed forces.
