Abstract
Epic folklore occupies a special place in the folklore heritage of the Armenians of Shirak. The genres of Shirak's epic folklore (fairy tales, common tales, animals, epic tales, epic love stories, realistic tales, stories, traditions, legends, fables, jokes, unrealistic fables, memorials, etc.) represent local variants of pan-Armenian plots and motifs, with their own characteristic features.
