Abstract
Law for the Recycling of Specified Kinds of Home Appliances (Home appliances recycling law) was enforced in April, 2001. Air-conditioners, television sets, refrigerators and washing machines are in scope of this law. Manufacturers have not only collected and recycled these appliances, but also removed and treated hazardous materials such as CFC and Cathode-ray tube glass containing lead under this law.The home appliances recycling law has been going fine even after 6 years passed since the enforcement of law. We will explain the situation and the issue of these appliances recycling at this section.
