Abstract
This article attempts to analyze the sexual vulgarity in “Erren zhuan” as an objective existence, jumping out of the solidified vision and methodology of Chinese literary theory, and giving this “pure wild” art category a scientific and fair analysis and evaluation with a worldwide perspective. From the perspectives of the origin of the birth of “Erren zhuan”, the local cultural environment of folklore, and the artistic function, this article compares the other art in China and other international art categories and performance markets in terms of “sexually vulgar” content. Through ontology research, cultural research and market research, it discusses the rationality of the existence of “vulgar elements” in “Erren zhuan”.
