Abstract

The paper considers the nature and the role of organizational confl icts in terms of ways an organization can manage these, as well as how to classify confl icts based on various attributes. Formation of the confl ict resolution studies as the theory and practice are characterized by stages of development. Key stages in the techniques for confl ict resolution in an organisation are provided, including psychological preparation for confl ict resolution, identifi cation of the real issue causing the confl ict, search for possible options to resolve the confl ict, elaboration and selection of confl ict resolution options, the process of confl ict resolution itself, completion of the confl ict resolution process.
