Abstract
The purpose of this study is to discuss so called "environmental construction" regarding energy savings and living comfort from the viewpoint of architectural planning. It is important to find and choose a designing method that enables the joining of controlling technologies (environmental menu) for light, heat and air for "environmental construction" to bring to bear its optimun effect. The cross-sectional model, in which a range of environmental menus were integrated, was made in the Hokkaido Northerm Regional Building Research Institute's plan as an actual example. The method to create the whole space by horizontally extending the model was employed.
