Abstract
The effect of fluorination of LaNi5 and LaNi4.7Al0.3 surfaces on the initial activation of hydrogen absorption was examined at 298K by measuring the H2 reaction probability wider background pressures of 10-8Pa and 10-6Pa. The enhancement of the H2 reaction probability was observed only on the H2 pretreatment LaNi4.7AI0.3.
