Abstract
Primary esophageal melanoma is an extremely rare malignancy with an estimated prevalence of 0.0036 cases per million per year. The prognosis of the disease is unfavorable, in 30-40% of patients metastases are detected at the time of diagnosis, generally accepted approaches to treatment are currently insufficiently developed. The article presents the review of the literature and describes the clinical case of a patient with primary esophageal melanoma
