Abstract

The research objective includes an experimental evaluation of the WhatsApp mobile application’s didactic potential while organizing medical students’ distance learning. The author justifies the thesis that mobile learning, including by using textual messengers, can be efficient. The article focuses on analysing the experience of using this messenger while organizing seminars on Pedagogy and Psychology for first-year students of Rostov State Medical University. Scientific originality of the study lies in the fact that the author justifies the efficiency of using the WhatsApp messenger while organizing medical students’ distance learning of the discipline “Pedagogy and Psychology”. The conclusion is made that the WhatsApp messenger can be efficiently used for organizing distance learning of the humanities at medical higher school.
