Abstract

NA38 results on ϱ, ω and ø production in pW and SU interactions at 200 GeV/nucleon are presented. The ratio [ø/ϱ+ω]μμ is a factor of 2 to 3 greater in SU collisions as compared to the pW value. This enhancement could be interpreted as a tendency towards chemical equilibrium. The measured transverse mass spectra of the vector-meson resonances are also discussed.
