Abstract
The proposed research paper was analyzed by OHSAS 18001 and occupational safety and health and environment (HSE) systems. The research goal is to define the main factors influencing the implementation of OHSAS 18001. The results show that the factors pushing companies toward certification have a positive correlation with the success factors needed to implement OHSAS-18001. This means that decision factors are fundamental to successful implementation and company improvement. In addition, decision-making factors also have a strong influence on company improvement. However, a significant increase in bureaucracy, lack of specialized personnel, and high certification costs were identified as major factors in the failure of BS OHSAS 18001 implementation. This study also highlights the interest of companies in reducing their social responsibility by implementing OHSAS 18001.
