Abstract

The parasite of nine-spine sticklebacks, the Neoechinorhynchus beringianus, was found in the intestines of the broad whitefish caughtin the BuyundaRiver, the Kolyma tributary. Themorphometric parameters of the found specimen and individuals of the same species from the population existing in the lower reaches of the Kolyma River were compared. The possible conditions of the host species infection with a non-indigenous parasite and the variants of the acanthocephalan settlement in the river basin are considered.
