Abstract

This study aimed to investigate the role of positive psychological capital as a mediator in the relationship between learners’ grit, and their satisfaction with lifelong education. In this study, we included 220 lifelong education learners over the age of 20 enrolled in lifelong education courses in Seoul and Gyeonggi Province. Data analysis was conducted using the SPSS 26.0, AMOS 21.0 program. We found the following results. First, regarding the relationships between grit, positive psychological capital, and the educational satisfaction of students at lifelong education institutions, there was a statistically significant relationship between the variables. Second, positive psychological capital was found to have a mediating role in the relationship between the students’ grit levels in lifelong education institutions and their overall educational satisfaction. Based on these results, we provided practical and theoretical implications for lifelong learning and education.
