Abstract

Currently, most traumatologists recommend the following treatment options: conservative treatment for non-displaced fractures, including those extending to the subtalar joint, with an emphasis on early activation of movements in adjacent joints. Displaced fractures require surgical treatment. There is one forgotten method: reposition of fragments and their osteosynthesis according to Essex-Lopresti (1952).
