Abstract

The article describes the meaning of the word "abstract", gives the history of its occurrence. The concepts of "abstract" and "thesis", as well as their differences from the annotation, are explained. In addition, the need to use the abstract in a scientific article is indicated, its structure is presented, and the need for its compliance with international requirements is justified. For young scientists, the author recommends using and provides examples of key and introductory words, common phrases and patterns when writing abstracts for scientific articles. It is emphasized that the abstract should be written in a scientific style, the main requirement is to clearly and concisely express the idea, not to use general phrases and introductory words that are not related to the scientific article.
