Abstract

The article analyzes the main parameters of China’s cooperation with the countries of the Bolivarian Alliance for the Peoples of Our America (ALBA). The author explores both the economic and political and military aspects of the relationship. The large-scale penetration of the PRC into the countries of the group, leading to the growth of Beijing’s geopolitical confrontation with the United States and the development of competition and cooperation between the PRC and the Russian Federation in the ALBA countries (primarily in Nicaragua and Venezuela), is shown. Particular attention is paid to the cooperation of China with countries such as Venezuela, Cuba and Nicaragua, which were involved in a large-scale political crisis, the epicenter of which was Venezuela.
