Abstract

The purpose of this study was to present a training method for improving performance by confirming the effect on basal stamina, anaerobic power of the lower extremities, and muscle thickness after kettlebell training for 8 weeks. For the experiment, kettlebell training was conducted twice a week for 7 female badminton players for 8 weeks. To verify the effect, basal strength, anaerobic power, and muscle thickness were compared by measuring the quadriceps femoris using an ultrasound device. For the data collected through the experiment, the SPSS 27.0 program was used, and the statistical significance level was set to α=.05. As a result of this study, the strength improvement was significantly improved, and the average power of the anaerobic power, the peak power, and the peak power per body weight were significantly improved. The changes in the thickness of the quadriceps femoris by ultrasound were significantly improved in all of the rectus femoris, medial broads, lateral broads, and medial broads. Through this study, it was confirmed that 8 weeks of kettlebell training for college badminton players had a positive effect on improving basic physical strength, anaerobic power of the lower extremities, and muscle thickness.
