Abstract

The Quaternary depositional landforms such as coastal alluvial fans and marine terraces had been developed in Yeocha Coast, the southern part of Geoje Island. The coastal alluvial fan 2 was formed in MIS 6 and alluvial fan 1 was formed in MIS 4. It is interpreted that all alluvial fans were deposited with sediments including angular gravels supplied by physical weathering and mass movement along small stream valley. The marine terrace 1 and 2 appear as bedrock erosional surfaces. In particular, the marine terrace 1 is distributed at above sea level of 7~10m, and it is estimated to be formed in transgression periods of MIS 5a.
