Abstract

The article describes the background and reasons for the 1916 rebellion in Central Asia. The conclusion about the role of external factors in the organization of the uprising. The author comes to the conclusion that the main role in the uprising was not an ethnic contradictions, and skillfully fueled by from abroad, the Islamic factor. The fact of the uprising does not give grounds to doubt the friendship between the Russian and Kyrgyz peoples.
