Abstract
The variety Barkhan was obtained in 2012–2022 by multiple individual selections from oil flax line K 4026 on the selection backgrounds of natural and artificial drought. The new variety of oil flax Barkhan is characterized by uniform flowering and ripening, high drought resistance, and nonlodging, its plant height is up to 60 cm and its seeds have high oil content – over 48.4%, which is 1.70% higher than in the standard variety FLIZ, which allows using it as a variety of dual purpose – for oil and fiber. The oil flax variety Barkhan has been submitted for State trial in 2022.
