Abstract
The article presents historical aspects and information about the treatment of degenerative diseases of the cornea using methods of photodynamic therapy, including modern technology of ultraviolet (UV) crosslinking of corneal collagen. The achievements of the scientific school of the Ufa Research Institute of Eye Diseases in the field of development and implementation of new methods for the treatment of keratectasia, medical devices and products for UV corneal crosslinking are presented.
