Abstract

The research aims to identify models for ways of organising pedagogical discourse by analysing texts of foreign language study guides. The article focuses on the structure of pedagogical discourse and ways of its realisation in the English language study guides in a higher education institution. Scientific novelty of the paper lies in identifying eight main models for ways of organising pedagogical discourse: argumentative, argumentative-descriptive, descriptive, communicative, communicative-narrative, communicative-descriptive, communicative-argumentative and narrative. As a result of the study, the authors have determined the main patterns in realisation of the ways of organising pedagogical discourse peculiar to these models.
