Abstract
The aim of the study is to provide a psycholinguistic description and taxonomy of the main features of the French fashion discourse. The scientific novelty of the work lies in the fact that the linguo-semiotic reflection of the world of French fashion is placed at the center of a special study. Quite new is the interdisciplinary approach to the study of linguistic and discourse material in line with the study of linguo-semiotic mechanisms of the functioning of special terms, both in the space of a complete utterance and at the level of the universal stock of the national language. One of the key points of the work is the development of the concept of anthropological psychomechanics of language by Gustave Guillaume within the framework of the discursive interpretation of the category of “linguistic sign”, which is considered as a semiotic integrity and axiological construct functioning in the synergy of two formats: individual and universal identity. The basic element of identifying the features of this type of fashion narrative is the linguistic analysis of the discourse, which generates authentic parameters of the functioning of the mental world. The cognitive and epistemic dimension of knowledge lays the foundation for the potential development of research thought in line with the implementation of the conceptual and linguo-psychological analysis of the discourse space. The results obtained showed the predominance of the universal parameters of the fashion discourse and also made it possible to find information about the elements of the worldview and mentality of the collective native speaker of the national language at the level of linguistic identity. The presented results of the study allow us to talk about possible ways of overcoming critical and stressful situations on the course to existential stabilisation of behavioural models of cognition and communication.
