Abstract

Azerbaijan foreign policy strategy. – Article.The article examines the features of Azerbaijan’s foreign policy at the present stage, which contributed tothe country’s gaining a worthy place in the world as a self-sufficient state, an authoritative and full-fledgedsubject of the international community, successfully building relations with diverse subjects of world politics.The conceptual direction of the development of the Republic of Azerbaijan is the construction of a legal,secular, democratic state based on the centuries-old values of world civilization. At the stage of Azerbaijan’stransition to the space of globalization, democracy, which presupposes the modernization of national development,is a priority of the Azerbaijan state and society. It is built on the idea of state independence and democraticprinciples, as well as the dialectical unity of national and universal values. The fundamental factor inthe country’s achievements is the phenomenon of the Azerbaijan people, who independently determined theirfate. President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev embodies the national unity, cohesion of the Azerbaijani people,ensures the continuity of the Azerbaijan statehood. The implementation in the country of effective measures tomodernize various spheres, the intensification of economic processes, the adoption of laws contributing to thecomprehensive improvement of the life of society, the integration of the republic into the world community,joining various international structures, signing the most important treaties and declarations – all this is aimedat further strengthening the positions of Azerbaijan. states in the world and the restoration of the territorialintegrity of Azerbaijan, which is the most important problem facing the country. A characteristic feature ofAzerbaijan’s foreign policy is its commitment to the peaceful resolution of international conflicts, which hastaken shape as a result of many historical trials.
