Abstract
The article deals with the issue of practice-oriented training of medical technologists of the Federal Center for Cardiovascular Surgery (Astrakhan). As a result of mastering the additional professional program of advanced training in the specialty "Laboratory diagnostics", medical technologists im-proved their knowledge and skills, and also received new competencies for providing medical care to patients with cardiovascular diseases.
