Abstract

Underground spaces have been developed by humanity since ancient times. They allow you to reduce the density of land development, organize convenient transport links, ensure the safety of the population, and expand urban space. The article examines the experience of underground construction in foreign practice using the example of the capital of Finland - Helsinki. The role of the underground master plan in the development of the underground urban territory was analyzed. Examples of its implementation are considered.
