Abstract
Taekwondo which was originated indeqendently as martial arts native to korea, has succeeded as defensive measures for survival since primitive times. It was defensive as the name of soopark in the three countries times. After that, it was named as soopark or takkyon or taekwondo and before the invasion of Japan, it had been handed down as martial arts native to korea. Whereas the karate of Japan was introduced to okie, which was subject to china. Therefore it was developed by okie and extended to Japan proper. Therefore it is not martial arts native to Japan. In addition to when the martial arts of china was introduced to okie, korea had own characteristic martial arts.
