Abstract

The article outlines Maria Savchenko's approaches to working with children having speech disorders developed as a result of many years of scientific and pedagogical work. The purpose of the study has been to analyze the approaches of M. Savchenko in working with children with speech disorders and to cite specific practical examples of corrective influence, developed by the scientist. In the course of the research, it has been found out that the scientist was a supporter of a comprehensive study of the child's speech condition in order to find out his or her speech disorder. After all, this principle of analysis provides the opportunity for a comprehensive approach to overcoming speech disorders, and is a good prerequisite for successful literacy and spelling education, and also contributes to the general development of speech. And, accordingly, she emphasized the expediency of a systematic approach in building logocorrective work with children having speech disorders, as she considered speech to be a holistic phenomenon with phonetic, lexical and semantic and grammatical components that must be taken into account. We have determined that Savchenko carried out the planning of corrective work in compliance with the didactic principle of accessibility. The main achievement of speech therapy in the work of overcoming sound-speech disorders has been highlighted, mainly the phonetic approach. The main principle of which is children's awareness of sound analysis of words. Another important aspect of the above-mentioned approach is the improvement of phonemic processes by working with non-speech sounds, analysis and synthesis of the sound composition of words, formation of generalizing ideas about the main features of the phonemes of the Ukrainian literary language. We have collected sets of tasks elaborated by a scientist for the development of children's phonemic perception, analysis and synthesis of the sound composition of a word, mastery of generalizing ideas about the differential signs of phonemes. As a result of studying the speech therapy heritage of M. Savchenko, taking into account the approaches of the scientist, a sequence of logocorrective in fluence has been formulated, which involves: setting and introducing the correct sound into everyday communication, developing phonemic perception and the ability to independently observe the language, taking into account all speech systems. The stages of speech therapy work with children having speech disorders developed by M. Savchenko have been described.
