Abstract
The review article is devoted to the prospects for the treatment of retinopathy of prematurity. Cryocoagulation, laser photocoagulation, infrasonic vacuum pneumomassage and their effectiveness in the treatment of retinopathy of prematurity, as well as modern substitution therapy, regulation of the level of insulin-like factor in the blood of a preterm baby and weight dynamics are considered as important risk mechanisms for the development of retinopathy of prematurity. The possibility of using omega-3 polyunsaturated fatty acids and genetic engineering in the treatment of retinopathy of prematurity was evaluated.
