Abstract

The results of the study of the energy effectiveness of wood stoves, which were obtained by the authors based on dozens of experiments and mathematical modeling are presented. It shows the advantages and disadvantages of wood-burning stoves with fireboxes internally covered by fire bricks versus typical stoves (without fire bricks) produced and widely distributed in Georgia. The necessity of using energy-efficient stoves in agrarian areas of the country is emphasized. According to the authors, the easiest way to increase the efficiency of stoves manufactured in Georgia and widely available to the population is to cover their combustion chambers (fireboxes) internally with thermally inertial material – fire bricks.
