Abstract

The features of wood harvesting operations as a logistics system are given in the article. The tasks resolving at different levels of wood harvesting management, as well as variants of an appropriate material flow are described. The requirements to the methods of the logistics management are formulated. Wood harvesting enterprises as micro and micro-logistics systems accepts all common logistics approaches. However, they also have a number of significant features that requires the correction of the standard approach. These features are mainly related to the nature of the material flow inputting into the system of (growing forest), as well as the spatial distribution of production.
